Fair Haven Barn

15 X 17 feet | 1800's | Fair Haven, Vermont

This adorable timber frame was built near the town center of Fair Haven. The barn housed animals during the 1800s, and then became a general storage barn and garage.  The center bent was modified at some point in the barn's life in order to add a second floor with lots of head room. In its next phase, this modification can be retained, or the tie beam can be put back to its original spot for a more spacious first floor. We can't wait to see this barn standing once more!

Details:

  • Hand hewn softwood posts, girts, and top plates

  • Sawn softwood rafters

  • Beautiful roof boards and wall sheathing

  • Frame, erected on your foundation or deck, with roof boards installed

Possibilities: This barn's excellent and tall proportions make it ideally suited for conversion to a cabin or tiny home. It is taller than most barns of its foot print, which expands the possibilities for its future use. It would also make a wonderful studio can be a wonderful little cabin with a loft, a farm outbuilding, or a studio
