Practical Geometry: What is it? How did our ancestors use it?
Join Geometer, Jane Griswold Radocchia in the historic Reuben Wait Barn for a hands on introduction to the design and framing of buildings using a compass, a line, and a scribe – the Practical Geometry used before the Industrial Revolution. Together we will learn how to use a compass to lay out a square, divide a square into 3 equal rectangles without measuring, and set a square corner with a compass.
