Concert in the 1780's Reuben Waite Barn

We will continue our monthly concert series at the Reuben Waite Barn with another local favorite, The Hermit Hollow String Band. Steeped in old time and traditional bluegrass music, band members are cobbled together from the original Poultney Bluegrass Society. Featuring fine vocal harmonies and tight playing. Instruments you're likely to hear include fiddle, standup bass, guitar, mandolin, and the occasional banjo.

Please bring a cash contribution for the band, and a chair. A potluck dish to share is encouraged, BYOB.

Doors open at 6:30, music begins at 7:00 p.m.

About the Reuben Waite Barn: The venue for this event is a pre-1800's hand hewn timber frame barn. In 2020 the Reuben Waite Barn was moved from its original location in Galway, NY to the shop property of Green Mountain Timber Frames in Middletown Springs. The Green Mountain Timber Frames crew carefully dismantled the structure taking care to label each beam, brace, and board. After restoring and washing the frame, it was erected once again on a stone foundation to live on as a space dedicated to community, the arts, traditional crafting, and the learning of hand tool woodworking.
