About the event
Join Nora for the afternoon to learn the craft of broom making. You’ll leave our time together with a beautiful woven hand whisk. This broom creation brings together both the craft of hand whisk creation as well as weaving the fibers of the stalks of the sorghum to build a robust handle. If there is time to make and play with other broom styles, we will make time for that as well! This is the perfect class for someone who loves to weave and make useful tools. You’ll leave this gathering with all the knowledge you need to make more brooms at home including other broom tips, material list and sourcing, and friends to make brooms with! If you fall in love with broom making, Nora will have some supplies for sale as well.
