Hand Hewn Timber Log Home

28 X 36 feet | 1778 | Danby, Vermont

An extremely rare example of an early Vermont Pioneer Home. Constructed during the era when Vermont was a Republic, this cape style frame is a museum piece in excellent condition. The original home was built by Anthony Nichols, a Quaker and cabinet maker.

  • 2000+ square feet​, option for second floor​

  • Walls are White Pine timbers hewn 9 inches wide, 16 inches tall and 28 to 36 feet long

  • Floor joists and rafters are hewn Chestnut timbers​

  • Restored frame, erected on your foundation with secondfloor boards and roof boards

This frame would make a lovely rustic home, a great cabin beside a lake or river, a one-of-a-kind studio or office.
